How do people keep names in your country?

There are some popular ways to keep names in the country I reside. People consult with astrologers and priests before they give a name to their kid. Mostly people have the names from famous TV serials, movies and religious books.

Are parents conscious about keeping names now days?

Yes, the generation we have, prefers modern names that match with western people. Parents these days browse various websites that archive the names. Even they go for the suggestions of relatives before they select any name. Gone are the days when names were selected within a second.

Do you think name effect your life?

As Shakespeare said what’s there in name. It has nothing to do with your life. It’s all about your choices that impact life. Astrologically names can be a deciding factor in one’s life. In my views, name does influence one’s mind psychologically. There are some old names that may make one feels bad.  (for example ,there used be a name Gulabo for girl, modern girls don’t want this name anymore. Yes if you give any girl a name –Rosy, she is happy with the name.)

Do names in your country represent any community?

Well, It is easy to identify people’s community they belong to. Most of the people around the world have names according to the religions they follow. For example, in my country Singh is title that represents Sikhism. Kumar, Lal, Devi, Kumari are some of the titles used by people who belong to Hinduism. Khan, Ali, Ansari and kaif these titles indicate to Islam. Desuza, Waugh, Lee etc are related to Christian community
