colleges and schools to live their dreams. United State has been the first
choice of international students. United States of America offers world class
educations, internationally recognized certification, part time work right,
post study work right and so on.
The numbers
of students visa applications dropped because of stringent visa policies.
Because student has to follow a lengthy procedure to enter US educational
institutions and Visa success ratio is not so convincing. From academic
qualification to financial background is scrutinized to give visa. Interview
has been very challenging and most of the students choose not to apply when
they think of face to face interview. Minimum numbers of student’s visa
applications are approved in past years.
Let’s have
look what are the keys to obtain visa successfully before you apply for US
Student Visa.
Academic
Qualification-
Your
academic qualification plays a decisive role whether you will be offered a
place to study or not. The qualification you have earned and your performance
is crucial. If you have obtained average marks than chances are very low to get
accepted, you must be more than an average student if you want to be
considered. Securing more than 60
percent is helpful to get an offer letter. The qualification you have earned
must be from recognized Educational Body. It must be recognized by state and
central government of your country. If your qualification does not fulfill this
criteria than you think once more because even in your home country does
consider mentioned aspects before enrolling any international student.
If your
qualification meets the requirement than you have one more highly important
point to consider. It may spoil your all preparation and hardwork. It is
choosing the course that you want to pursue. What happens the most of the
students they apply for the program that does not align with their previous
qualification and admission officers don’t release them any place to
study. It sounds confusing for the
admission officers. In many cases students convince the institution but end up
getting visa refused. It may be possible that admission officer may send you
offer letter but convincing visa officer is close to impossible. Choosing the course and best known
institution is crucial to obtain visa. The course you have opted for must be in
main offered programs of that institution.
Language
requirement-
Students who
aspire to study in US are to qualify ESOL Examination. There are some of the
popular exams taken by students such as IELTS , PTE TEOFEL , GRE , GMAT and So
on. It is up to your previous qualification that decides the ESOL Exam you need
to take. GRE and GMAT are for engineering and medical studies. TEOFEL is one of
the most popular exams taken for US student visa. IELTS and PTE certificates
are also accepted. Please check if you are to take specific exam. Without
fulfilling English Language requirement you may not get offer from any
institution.
But many
institutions in US allow students to apply without qualifying ESOL Examination.
They go for telephonic or Skype interview to get an idea of your eligibility.
Financial background-
Earlier
universities and colleges did not ask students to show their financials it was
the area of US embassy to check . While filling online visa application student
have to upload financial documents. But today it is demanded by universities
and colleges. After sending educational and language eligibility certificates
student is provided conditional offer letter
and asked to send financial documents as well. if he provides the documents
than unconditional offer letter , sevis and other important docs are provided
to student for filling visa application and booking an appointment for
interview.
To support
your study in US there must be $30,000 in your bank account. the amount may be as fixed deposit or it may
be in your saving. You need this amount at least 6 months old. Fresh funds are
not accepted; Yes you can apply for education load. Education loans are accepted.
Third party
funds can be helpful. Your uncle, grandfather, maternal uncle or maternal
grandfather‘s funds assistance can help you apply for visa application.
Fresh funds
are not accepted. If you have third party funds you should have written
statement with you during the time of interview. The visa officer may speak with
your sponsor over the phone or via email.
Interview
–
This is the
final phase of your visa application. You booked an appointment and now facing
an interview. It is not going to last more than 20 minutes, in some cases it
may be 30 minutes.
Your visa officer
makes decision on your application after taking an interview. The success ratio
has been very poor. If 100 students have appeared for interview only 10
students have done it successfully. it
may spoil your all hardwork and preparation if you are not able to convince
visa officer. If visa officer is convinced he will keep your passport and
within a week your visa is ready.
After this
there is no hurdle. You can fly to your dream destination.
