Newspapers influence people’s opinions and ideas.

Is this a negative or positive development?

Model Answer

Newspaper has been integral part of people’s life for a century. It shapes attitude of society to great extent. Because journals provide authentic information without giving any hype. I believe reading newspapers is significant as there are no evident negative influences of it.

To commence with, the fact cannot be refuted that newspapers have played a crucial role to educate and inform people about what’s happening locally and globally. Most of the people start their mornings by reading news from the newspapers delivered at their door step. The journals have acquired an irreplaceable place by providing realistic information to their readers. Even they don’t come under pressure to raise the voice against governments and influential people. People trust newspapers more than any other mediums which provide news and information. Because, information and contents delivered in journals are well researched and edited by experienced and qualified professionals. They try their best to present the facts as they are. I believe that’s why journals have a huge impact on people’s attitude.

Probing ahead , newspapers still play positive role to communicate truth for people. If one has to raise his voice against injustice or inform people, journals are approached at first. Though, it is cheaper than any other information sharing alternative. During the covid pandemic, daily and fortnightly journals educated people to stay healthy and entertained them so they don’t feel depressed. Moreover, to find a groom or bride, people approach to widely read journals because newspapers have won the trust of people. Therefore, there is hardly any negative influence of reading newspapers.  So we can say that it is a positive development.

All things considered, newspapers have served people of all communities at minimal cost and provided factual information. That’s why we cannot doubt their role.
