IELTS Writing Task 2 – 29 October 2022- Evening Slot

Schools are no longer needed because children can find the information on the internet and study at home?

The internet has become an integral part of the world as it provides the information faster than any other means. So it is considered that children can be educated by online facilities. Therefore they don’t need to go to the schools for education. I totally refute this given notion and believe that schools play significant role to educate and discipline young learners.

The fact cannot be denied that the internet has revolutionized almost everything in the world. The life , at present , cannot be imagined without this wonderful invention. But when it comes to educating children, the internet cannot be fully relied. The internet can inform learners and provides numerous opportunities to learn what they want. Yet, it cannot transform learner’s internal and external behavior. Another reason to disagree the notion is , the internet is not regulated , misleading information and content often distract students from studies. One thing, I would admit that It can assist students to expand their knowledge regardless of time and demography.

Moving furthers, education cannot be imagined without schools because they are established and run to educate children not just inform them. Children learn many practical skills such how to be disciplined, to cooperate and communicate. Whereas, online learning cannot impart such key skills to learners. If students come across any academic problem, they can approach to their teachers. In schools , teachers ensure what they have taught by conducting tests and competitions.  Apart from this, children have to be fully involved in classroom activities and complete on given time. Therefore , I believe education can only be delivered effectively by schools.

At last , the students must take full advantage of the internet to learn what they cannot in schools. They must be enrolled in schools for full time education to transform their lives.
