In the
technologically advanced age, most of people prefer to write by their electronic
devices. Therefore, it is stated by some individuals that handwriting should
not be taught to school goers because it is useless nowadays. I refute with this given notion to certain
degree because writing by hands is one of most important and relevant skills.
It is quite
evident that most of the people use smart phones, laptops and computers to
write a few words message to a complete book.
Even they don’t need to type what they want; they simple do it by voice
recognizing software. I still disagree with the statement that handwriting is
irrelevant in today’s time. I consider that it is the reflection of one’s
educational qualification and skills gained while studying. Writing with the help of machines does not
make one competent at writing. For this , one has to learning from the scratch and
building their skills.
Moving further
, there are still many fields and exams
which are hand written and we don’t have
alternative. If we don’t practice our writing on paper , slate or board , we won’t
be able to write in better way. One more important thing to mention , in many
exams , students are awarded some grades for their better writing. To add to the disagreement , many times technology
fails due to connectivity , electricity or some natural reasons , sometimes it
takes a long time to resolve. In such conditions , people may have to use their
hands to pen down what they have to say.
To sum up,
ignoring writing skills is not advantageous, one must practice their handwriting
regularly. Because it is one of most useful skills that we should acquire.
