Spoken Communication is more
powerful than written communication. To what extent do you agree or
disagree? |
It is widely
believed that verbal interaction is more influential than conveying a message
in written form. I agree with the given statement to a great degree because
most of the people use the power of voice to influence people in negative or
positive way.
Undoubtedly,
verbal communication has been of one the most effective tools to influence
people or get any job done. Verbal
interaction is highly effective that people can use their tone and facial
experience to convey their messages clearly. Another reason to agree with the
notion is that, we human prefer to interact face to face rather than read any
message to figure out the conclusion. Spoken words are received well and can be
recalled more effortlessly than reminding something one has read. Human mind is more receptive while listening
to a voice than reading a text. Voice influences certain areas of mind. I
believe ,that’s why spoken words are more effective than non-verbal
interaction.
Moving
ahead, people feel more comfortable communicating through voice , tone and
expressions because it makes easy to be involved and get to the conclusion.
While , people don’t feel connected to written words unless it relates to
them. Power of voice and expression is
effectively used by teachers , business people and politicians to influence the
behavior of people. the history is
replete with numbers examples of great leaders , politicians and coaches who
employed verbal communication to inspire people or be the part of a revolution. Many coaches are often seen delivering
inspiring speech before match so the players could be encouraged to deliver
their best performance. They don’t handover them a written note. It is because
they understand the power of spoken communication. I think, these factors make verbal communication
more effective than written words.
All things
considered, the power of verbal interaction has always been greater than of
written communication because it involves people physically , mentally and
