It is a
pleasure to let you know that India is a country of unity in diversity. It celebrates
many festivals, customs and traditions of all religions. And India conveys a
message of unity, peace and harmony through its cultural and tradition.
Here I would
like to about a special tradition that includes brother and sister. In which
brother promises his sister to protect her as long as she lives? In this unique
tradition brothers are bound to provide sisters when they need. On every
festival brother gives something to his sister as a gift. If the sister is
married then brother makes times to visit her and carries sweets, fruits and
clothes to gift her.
Whether
brother is younger to his sister he has to perform this custom to fulfill his
promise. The parents in India teach brothers to continue the tradition in every
situation. Sisters pray to God for the long and healthy live of their brothers.
I truly
believe in this culture because it is pious and strengthen the relation between
brothers and sisters. It conveys a message that we must take care of each
other. People from other nations speak high of this special tradition and try
to follow it. It makes me feel proud about the tradition we follow.
