It is not necessary to travel to other places to learn about other cultures of other people. We can learn just as much from books, films and the internet.

Do you agree or disagree?

It is true that the internet, movies and books have been reliable source of learning about different cultures and traditions in the world. However, travelling is believed to be fascinating and pragmatic to assimilate the diversity of particular customs and rituals associated to societies in the world. I don’ believe that people can absorb through distance learning mediums than visiting the place.

 

The fact cannot be denied that people are more intrigued to know more other cultures and traditions to expand their knowledge.  They take the advantage of movies, books and virtual platforms to learn without spending time and money to travel the place for learning the lifestyle and rituals of desired society or country. Many men and women opt to buy useful books, subscription of blogs and websites to be well informed about who people live and social norms they follow. In my opinion, people can learn a lot by books , movies and the internet in the modern area.

However, travelling is considered to be the most effective way to gain vivid experience of communicating with people from diverse societies and cultures. Those who can afford often visit and meet with people and tend to know the difference of cultures, languages and lifestyles. Every year, many people visit the Holy Shrine named The Golden temple located in India, they are often seen interacting with natives and questioning. I would say that travelling and meeting with people, can be unforgettable experience and learning for people

All things considered, people can be facilitated by books, movies, and virtual platforms to get educated about the cultures and traditions they desire to explore if they don’t intend to travel. Distance learning can assist them to great extent.
