Information and technology has revolutionized the way information is circulated and people want to be informed as soon as possible still newspaper has been a reliable source of receiving information .
To begin with , a majority of people depends upon newspapers as it has been one of most primitive and trustworthy mediums of reading news. The newspapers have won the trust of people for decades by providing factual information about science, politics, sports, and cinema and so on. Old age people choose to read newspapers and journals they are often seen glued to it. In my country , the students who prepare for competitive examination read couple of newspapers a day. In other words , the newspapers are still trusted for authentic news without any hype. But in recent years the popularity of newspapers has decreased because people receive news online in the blink of an eye.
The advancement in information and technology has availed many platforms to disseminate information quickly. People prefer to receive news through online news portals and almost every media house has come online to reach large number of people. The newspapers are also delivered online and people go through them with the help of their computers, laptops and mobile phones. These developments have made delivering and receiving information easy and fast. Especially young people opt to read in their gadgets than physical copies of newspapers and journals. The trend seems to escalate in the future.
In conclusion, the modern sources of receiving news are widely accepted to save time and money and people look to embrace them; however the newspapers may maintain the place for coming times.
