How many
languages can you speak?
Frankly
speaking, I am not a polyglot. I speak couple of languages at ease Hindi and
English. Hindi is the first language of
my country. English is second most spoken language in my country. I first
started learning it when I was in 6th grade.
How
useful will English be to you in your future? Why/ why not?
Well,
English is 2nd most spoken language in the world. It is the language
of international business, politics, sports, education and communication. It is
widely accepted. It plays a crucial rule to have a better career. This language
bridge the gap of communication to the world. In corporate world people choose
this language than any other .
What do
you remember about learning language at school?
Learning a
language is challenging in school because the way languages are taught is
subjective. One has to cram and take exams. Students don’t often find
opportunities to use them practically. The syllabus must be gone through . this
is the main purpose of teaching and learning a language in schools.
What do
you think would be the hardest language for you to learn?
Why?
Frankly speaking, some languages are very challenging. I have seen people struggle while honing linguistic skills. Proficiency in any language depends upon practice .There are some languages people cannot practice because they need someone who speaks that language. Teachers also play crucial role developing linguistic skills.

Shopping
from website is very common now a day. A majority of people in my area rely on
internet to sell and buy things online. Whenever I am to buy anything I take
the help of trusted and popular websites if the thing is not available at shops
or showrooms in my hometown. There are
some popular websites run by e-commerce store such as Amazon, FlipCart,
ShopClues , Deal 24 and so on.
Recently I
bought a pair of shoes form Amazon. This is one of the most trusted and popular
websites all around the world. Earlier I visited some shops and showrooms in my
area to buy pair of sports shoes. But I was not satisfied. I logged in FlipCart
and browsed the lists of shoes they offer and within 10 minutes I successfully
made the payment and ordered the shoes I wanted.
Within 3
days I received my order. I am quite satisfied because the quality of shoes is
very good and I saved 600 rupees also. FlipCart also secures its customers with

I appreciate

kinds of things do people in your country often buy online shops?
Online
shopping has become very popular in my country especially among young people.
They keep pace with the trends and fashion with the help of mobile and
internet. People in my country buy shoes, clothes , goggles and gadgets and so
on. The trend shows that people are fond of using latest gadgets they often buy
from online ecommerce stores and websites. Senior citizen also do some online
shopping like buying seasonal clothes and domestic item that can help them move
around. During the times of festivals
people are crazy after gifts items for their nears and dears.
it is like a piece of cake for people to
select items and order online. I have seen people receive parcels and couriers
of the items they ordered. The trend seems to continue in the future. I must
say that the pandemic has accelerated it.
Why do
you think online shopping has become so popular?
Gone are the
days, when people would make special time to visit the markets to buy what they
needed. Now people rely on online shopping. In my area online shopping has
become very common. Online shopping has some advantages that attract people.
For example you can shop from the comfort of your home. Items are comparatively
economical than offline shopping. Most of the e-commerce stores and websites
offer money back and replacement guarantee.
Such benefits make people shop online more. There are varieties of
products that satisfy people to go online and make shopping.
Why do
many people today keep buying things which they don’t need?
Actually
this is because they are persuaded to buy that they don’t even use. We often
see advertisement designed to hook up people and they are carried way. In the
era of fashion , shopping has also become a fashion or Symbol of status, people
feel they may be out of trend if they don’t shop. This is because
advertisements created in a way that takes in people to buy things they don’t
require at present. I have some friends who often buy things just to show off
though items are costly. Just to follow the trend they buy such things.
Do you
believe the benefits of consumer society outweigh the disadvantages?
Consumer
society shoulders ethical and social responsibilities which is very
crucial. The social boosts economic
growth and looks which product is best.
It also motivates manufacturers to innovate and avail best products to
people. It also creates jobs and brings foreign investment also. I think it is
good if we avoid some of its negative points that may lead capitalism.
How
possible is it to avoid the culture of consumerism?
Well it is difficult to avoid it. We are carried away by offers made by sellers. When we see something attractive we are tempted to buy it though we don’t need. It is better to limit your exposure to TV and social media commercials. People must hold on before they buy anything. One thing that I want to add , have a close look how you spend your time. If you are spending it viewing social media posts and browsing products feature you are going to fall for it. Try resist the expensive gifts and don’t go out with the mood of shopping often.
